Sponsoring a Jiamini Scholar will forever change his or her life. Each of our students is at the top of his or her class and has no way to pay for school without your help. By funding a student’s education you provide him or her with opportunities for higher education and employment that would otherwise be an impossibility. Your contribution also gives hope to his or her community and makes a lasting contribution to the growth of one of the most underserved areas of the world.
Through letters and other communication, you will have the unique opportunity to build a personal relationship with the student you sponsor. We encourage this type of interaction because it enriches your student’s experience and strengthens your connection to him or her.
Sponsorship covers a student’s tuition fees, room and board, school supplies, uniforms, travel and medical expenses. All of this costs only $400(US) per year. We ask that sponsors make a 4-year commitment to a student, providing support through his or her completion of secondary school.
